Building on the success of GC Forum Extractives 2025, which explored the convergence of energy and mining, GC Forum 2026 moves the conversation forward, positioning Africa at the centre of global transition dynamics. Under the theme “Africa’s Critical Core | Minerals, Markets & Global Collaboration”, this year’s edition examines how shifting geopolitics, new investment flows, and evolving legal frameworks are reshaping Africa’s extractives landscape.

With carbon-based fuels, critical minerals and clean energy all shaping the continent’s development pathway, the 2026 edition examines how Africa can finance the energy it relies on today while positioning itself as a strategic partner in tomorrow’s low-carbon economy. High-level panels and focused discussions will address sovereignty, collaboration, technology, governance, and the legal foundations required for sustainable, resilient growth. This year, the dialogue moves from integration to influence- establishing Africa as a leader in the world’s next growth cycle.

Sponsors include Three Crowns, A&O Shearman, Baker McKenzie, Beech Veltman, Grant Thornton, Lewis Silkin, Hogan Lovells, Tiefenthaler Attorneys Inc, Gowling WLG with strategic support from Sky Blue Partners.
